Johnny Robaina

Hi :) I grew up in Arizona (oldest of five kids!), attended Fordham University on a full academic scholarship, and now act, write, and produce film and theater in L.A. My debut feature, Keepers, an indie romcom costarring Monroe Cline and Miya Horcher and cowritten with Rose Siegel, is currently in post. Two shorts of mine, The Cigarette Files and The Painting, have seen film festival premieres (Big Apple Film Festival, Independent Film Festival Manhattan), with TCF winning Best Comedy Short at the Independent Shorts Awards in 2024. As a former intern at The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Sarah Jessica Parker's Pretty Matches Productions, I also bring production experience and a love of learning that has broadened my horizons in this industry. On the writing front, two pilots, Tárrega and Paleo, explore my Cuban-American heritage and love of history, respectively, and my feature script, The Artists' Retreat, is available for consideration. Finally, I am fluent in Spanish and learning Italian, and hope to incorporate both langauges into my work in the years to come.
