My name is Johnny, I’m a writer and actor living in California. I moved here from New York in 2023, and before that was raised in Arizona by my wonderful parents (along with my four siblings).
My debut feature, Holy Indecent, a romcom co-starring Monroe Cline and Miya Horcher, is currently in post. Two shorts of mine, The Cigarette Files and The Painting, have seen film festival premieres, with TCF winning Best Comedy Short at the Independent Shorts Awards in 2024.
Besides acting, my production experience includes internships at The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Sarah Jessica Parker’s Pretty Matches Productions. Besides screenwriting, I work as a journalist and moonlight in narrative essay writing.
Later in the year, I will return to acting in Surina Belk-Gupta’s Nothing, filming in the summer. And finally, I am fluent in Spanish and learning Italian, and hope to incorporate both languages into my work in the years to come.
